Develop Yourself – Episode #141


Are you doing and becoming what you’ve always dreamed?  Are you reaching your full potential?  If your answer is no, maybe it’s time to become better by developing yourself.  Here are 5 ways to help you reach your full potential.

Learn something new.  Try reading more often.  Read one non-fiction book per month.  I’m currently reading Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi.  I’d be glad to share a list of the most recent books I’ve read.  Shoot me an email.  You could attend a class, conference, or seminar on an area of your interest.

Surround yourself.  Surround yourself with people you learn from and grow with.  “Let go of those who bring you down and surround yourself with those who bring out the best in you.” -Unknown

Exercise your mind, body, and spirit.  Strengthen yourself mental, physically, and spiritually.  The library is your mental gym and the church is your spiritual gym.  Find an exercise partner (preferably some you can learn from and grow with).  Make time to learn, jog, and pray.

Challenge yourself.  Step outside of your comfort zone.  This is growth through experience and exposure.  Pushing yourself and trying new things will land you in a circle of new friends and it will keep your mind and body sharp.

Set goals.  This tip is the difference in dreaming about it and actually living it.  “A goal is a dream with a deadline.”  Not only set them, but write them down and mark them off as you complete them.  This will help you continuously seek higher ground in life.

Remember, becoming better is a daily adventure.  Follow these tips and you’ll become a better you in no time.
