I was talking to one of my students recently about Oprah Winfrey. I was telling her about how she moved around at an early age in her life from Mississippi to Milwaukee to Tennessee and how she was raped at age 9 and were were discussing the hardships of her life. We came to the conclusion that you should never judge a book by it’s cover. Who would have known that Oprah would be the successful woman that she is today? Oprah is only one example of many.
Who will be next? Who will be the change and inspiration we’re waiting for? Who are the future leaders of our world? Who will create a company that will employ thousands? Who will end world hunger? I believe it’s you. Now that we’ve got that covered, let’s make sure you’re on the right path to becoming our worlds catalyst for change.
6 ways to become the change
1 Discover your passion. What is it that you can talk about all day, non stopped? Find that things, hold on to it and never let go!
2 Do Something! Take action.
3 Ignore negativity. There will be PLENTY of people telling you that it won’t work. Ignore them and keep going.
4 Learn from the greats. Biographies are a great way to learn from the best and to provide motivation. One that comes to mind is Barbara Walters Audition.
5 Believe in yourself. No one else will believe in you, if you don’t even believe in you.
6 Believe in something (Someone) higher than yourself. You cannot do this on your own.
