“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.” –Oprah Winfrey.
“Celebrate what you want to see more of.” –Thomas J. Peters
“It’s fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.” –Bill Gates
Ever been excited about something and others around you could care less? MOOD KILLERS! Les Brown says, “Some people are so negative, that they could go in a darkroom and develop.” What makes me happy might not make you happy. That’s why you must discover happiness for yourself and not depend on others to do it for you. You must clearly define your own personal goals and hallmarks of success. For example: This website might not mean much to you, but it’s a stupendous accomplishment to me and I celebrate after every post. Your victory of paying off the car note may not mean much to me, but for you that is definitely worthy of shouting.
Got a raise at work? Already got your Christmas shopping done? Just took another step towards complete a new project? It’s time to dance on the ceiling! The night before my paycheck is deposited, I have a “payday party”. We count down ‘til midnight like its New Year’s Eve. It usually consists of loud itunes, a glass of wine, and downtime with the future Mrs. Echols. It’s a great time, but honestly I don’t need much reason to celebrateJ.
When’s the last time you had your own personal moment of success? In the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, success is defined as favorable or desired outcome; also the attainment of wealth, favor, or eminence. Take time to enjoy the small (and large) successful moments of yours and others. Those small victories can serve as checkpoints on your road to success. When celebrating with others, their energy could help fuel your vehicle. Some of my best ideas and pleasures come from encouraging and supporting others. Success is contagious. You’ll catch the fever if you remain in the vicinity of the successful long enough. So next time you reach your mountain top, enjoy it for a second before you begin your next climb.
Celebrate, then get back to work..lol! You all have SO much more in you.
Any stories you guys want to share? No matter how big or small, let’s pause for the cause. I’d love to hear.
