Many of our problems are directly linked to our financial situation. We find ourselves saying, “If I could just make more money!” We must know what we’re doing with the little bit we have first, before we can manage more. Our money should be working for us, not the opposite. And let’s get this one thing straight… The “LOVE” of money is the root of all evil, not just “money”. By no means am I a millionaire (yet), but that’s what this site is all about… becoming better together. We use credit cards for emergencies, but if we just saved up the cash (at least $1,000 emergency fund) that would take care of most of our “big” emergencies and we wouldn’t owe 23% interest on it! That emergency credit card eventually gets used for things like gas, fast food, and emergency sales at clothing stores. We think that just because it’s a small purchase we’ll be okay, but the little stuff will add up.
Track your spending and see exactly where your money is going. Most of you will be surprised at what you find. Give me a month and I’ll let you know what my money was saying. It’s gonna say, “I Love New Orleans” in March. *wink*
