Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see. –Mark Twain
Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. –Mother Teresa
Chivalry isn’t dead. It may not be as visible as it always has been, but it’s definitely not dead. Whatever happened to the days when men opened the car doors for women? What about saying, “Thank you” and “You’re welcome” and actually meaning it? How about helping your neighbor shovel the snow off their driveway? Chivalry is not dead, but it’s used 2 of 3 lifelines.
Kindness is POWERFUL. It can turn someone’s day around or could potentially turn someone’s life around. It could be as major as giving someone a second change or as minor as giving them a subtle smile. You never know how far an act of kindness can go. Your leftovers could be considered scraps or a meal for 3, it’s all in the eye of the beholder.
Use kind words and actions when dealing with others. Below you’ll find a list of statements and actions that can easily be used in our daily interactions…
I appreciate when you…
Can you please…?
May I help you by…?
Thinking before you speak.
Holding and opening the door for someone.
If you can’t something nice, don’t say anything at all.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
